SMITHS Gauges On Show At Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017
Classic gauges will be on display on the Caerbont Automotive Instruments (CAI) stand (318) at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (29th June to 2 July 2017).
150,000 automotive enthusiasts will flock to Goodwood House in West Sussex. Each year, the festival celebrates the past, present and future of the automotive world and the theme for 2017 will be 'Peaks of Performance - Motorsport's Game-Changers'.
The most iconic aspect of the Goodwood Festival of Speed is The Hillclimb. It originates from a hillclimb event organised by the 9th Duke of Richmond, Freddie March in 1936. Charles March re-invented the race for the 1.16-mile course for 1st festival in 1993. On Thursday 29th, visitors will see the latest road cars take on the Hillclimb challenge, with new and heritage cars featuring on Friday 30th through to Sunday 2nd July.
On stand 318 at Goodwood, CAI will be exhibiting a sample of our wide range of gauges for the Classic and Heritage Car market. We will also be displaying our Motorcycle and Marine products.
Some of the SMITHS classic instruments featured on the stand will be:
Classic gauges for a wide range of cars and motorbikes are designed with reference to the original SMITHS drawings and work instructions. Even though the modern gauge may be digital, our design team understand that both the look and feel need to reflect the style of the original instrument. And new versions of classic gauges are being developed and released regularly, with announcements made on our website and through social media.
We hope to see you at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. For further information on our range of gauges please do not hesitate to contact us via:
