Caterham Cars

 Caterham Cars have a reputation for manufacturing high performance affordable vehicles. CAI have been supplying British Racing Car Manufacturer Caterham for decades, accommodating the various changes in styles and facelifts over the years by providing systems ranging from conventionally driven floodlit designs to those based on CAN based backlit technologies

 

 One of our first projects in the early 90's; the design and manufacture of the Caterham 7 Gauges. After Lotus ended production of the Lotus Seven, Caterham bought the rights to the design, and today make both kits and fully assembled cars. The modern Caterham Seven is based on the Series 3 Lotus Seven, though developed to the point that no part is the same as on the original Lotus.

All the SMITHS gauges in the dashboard of the Caterham Seven have been designed and manufactured by CAI and reflect the car's 'British' identity. 

 

 

 

 

Though the layout of the Caterham Seven dashboard does vary, they all commonly feature the Caerbont designed instruments including Speedometer, Tachometer, Oil, Temperature and Fuel Gauge.

 

 

 

 

 

In 2016, CAI were commissioned by Caterham Cars to produce a set of instruments for the limited edition Caterham Seven Harrods designed car.  The launch heralded Caterham's first ever formalised personalisation programme – Caterham Signature – with the special edition 'Seven' designed by world-famous department store, Harrods.

 

 

 The instruments feature magnolia dials with a half round black bezel and the Caterham Seven Logo. LED backlit and custom styling. This kind of project demonstrates our wide range of skills and capabilities and our ability to respond quickly to the customers bespoke requirements.
