Search for new USA Distributor for SMITHS Classic MG Sports Car Gauges
SMITHS has a long and rich history of supplying gauges for the classic MG Sports Car and we are presently looking for a new specialist distributor in the USA. The new distributor would join our ever-growing global distribution team and work with us to support and supply US based Classic MG enthusiasts.

The original MG Sports Cars featured SMITHS speedometers, tachometers and other instrumentation in the the dashboard. Today, Caerbont Automotive Instruments (CAI) still manufacture gauges for the Classic MG using the original SMITHS drawings and designs. CAI has its roots in the Smiths Motor Accessories business, a pioneer in the development of the UK Automotive Industry. In 1984, ownership moved to the Lucas Group and then to VDO before becoming an independent company following a second management buyout in 2011.

Presently, SMITHS gauges for the Classic MG are being supplied to owners and classic sports car renovators across the world. Classic SMITHS gauges include:
- Classic MG Speedometer - Classic 100mm (4in) dashboard fit, 0-200 kph speedo for the classic MG, half vee chrome bezel, traditional SMITHS logo and high beam warning light. 660 tpm;
- Classic MG Tachometer - Classic 100mm (4in) 7K Tachometer with chrome half vee bezel, black dial and Classic MG white print, with warning light;
- Classic MG Dual Gauges - 52mm diameter dual Oil and Water gauge with half vee chrome bezel;
- Classic MGB V8 Dual Gauge - 52mm Water and Oil Temperature gauge;
The range of Classic MG gauges is continually being expanded in response to requests from our customers and distributors. All the gauges are designed and manufactured in the UK using the original Smiths manufacturing details and tooling.
