Designing Gauges for the Noble M600 Supercar
The Noble M600 Supercar. Hand-built and British-made. Sleek, stylish and with an acceleration of 0-60mph in 3 seconds. This is the ultimate Supercar.
Here at CAI, we have been working with Noble Automotive for over 15 years. We were originally involved in the successful M12 project, which led to working with the Noble team to design and supply the gauges for the M600.
When working on a project like the Noble M600, we focus on ensuring that the look and the feel of the gauges reflect the unique styling of the car. Each car is bespoke and hand-built to each client's individual requirements. The M600's carbon body is super-light and the engine has an impressive power to weight ratio of 542bhp per tonne.
The instrumentation is positioned on the main dashboard behind the steering wheel and also along a central consul between the drivers and passenger seats. CAI designed and supplied the:
- Speedometer
- Tachometer
- Fuel Gauge
- Water Temperature gauge
- Oil Temperature Gauge
This week we were visited by Peter Boutwood, Noble Automotive's Managing Director. We like to work closely with our clients, continually looking for ways to improve. Peter arrived in his M600, which attracted a lot of attention at our manufacturing facility in Abercrave near Swansea in South Wales. It is only when you get the opportunity to see and sit inside the M600 do you really appreciate the quality and style. No wonder Jeremy Clarkson lavished it with praise when he drove a M600 on Top Gear.
