CAI Takes to the Skies
The Caerbont Automotive Instruments (CAI) team took to the skies at Zip World Tower in Aberdare. Brave employees donned harnesses and hard hats before plunging down the fastest seated zip wire line in the world.

Zip World Tower
The Phoenix adventure at Zip World Tower is located at the former Tower Colliery site in Aberdare, South Wales, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. The site features two incredible zip lines, with Phoenix being the record-breaker as the fastest seated zip line in the world, and Zip World’s steepest.
Once safety belted into the seated harness, the CAI team plunged down at speeds up to 70 mph. With four lines situated side by side, everyone could look across and see the terror or excitement on their colleague’s faces.

The first zip line takes you down Rhigos mountain, across the Llyn Fawr reservoir, offering stunning views of the Cynon Valley and enjoying the very fastest speeds, racing in to the landing point whilst flying above the trees. The second line returns everyone back to Tower Colliery and the Zip World site, spanning over 1.5 kilometres in total.
Team Building
CAI regularly organise team building events and this was the first since sailing with Tall Ships aboard a 72ft Challenger Yacht in 2019.

“This was a welcome return to some sort of normality and a thank you to all our employees who’ve worked so hard during these difficult times,” explained Gavin Roberts, CAI’s Managing Director.
