INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE
BEGINNING THE TASK
- The oil temperature sender
records up to 300 degrees
Fahrenheit or 150 degrees
Centigrade. It has either a
5/8" UNF or a 1/8"
x 27 NPT thread, and a single
blade connection to the oil
temperature gauge.
- The 1/8" x 27 NPT sender
kit comes complete with
adapters that will allow
fitment to 1/4" x 18,
3/8" x 18 and 1/2"
x14 mounting holes. The
sender should not be
overtightened on
installation, but if problems
with sealing are encountered
then a little PTFE tape on
the threads of the sender
usually does the trick,
making sure that the PTFE
does not interfere with a
good earth connection between
the body of the sender and
it's mounting position.
