CAI 52mm Electrical Gauges
Introduction
These fitting instructions are to
be used with the following electrical
gauges: -
- Fuel Level.
- Water Temperature.
- Oil Pressure.
- Oil Temperature.
- Voltmeter.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- only to be fitted to negative
earth vehicles
- disconnect your
vehicle’s battery prior
to installation
Wiring
Voltmeters
MAKE SURE THAT THE BATTERY IS
DISCONNECTED
Voltmeters have only two
connections (see diagram) connect
terminal A to the fused side of the
vehicle’s ignition and B to
earth/ground via the vehicle
chassis/body, i.e. any place that
will take this connection back to the
negative side of the battery.
Other gauges
MAKE SURE THAT THE BATTERY IS
DISCONNECTED
All other electrical gauges have 3
terminals (see diagram), connect
terminal A to the fused side of the
vehicle’s ignition, terminal B
to earth/ground via the vehicle
chassis/body. Terminal C connects to
the sender unit providing the input
signal.
Illumination
- Assemble bulb into holder
- Install bulb and holder into
the lamp aperture at the rear
of the gauge.
- Connect one wire from the
bulb and holder assembly to
the power feed for the fascia
lighting, connect the other
wire to earth/ground via the
vehicle chassis/body.
Installation
These gauges require a 2 1/16inch
(52mm) hole in the fascia panel.
Insert the gauge into the hole and
secure with the fixing clamp, washers
and knurled nuts supplied.
